Moms In the Park – Summer 2011
“A place for Moms to meet together & connect”
Hi Everyone,
We are so excited to bring to you Moms in the Park! This will be a great time to connect and spend meaningful time outdoors with our kids. We have chosen local parks in the Richmond Hill, Aurora, and Newmarket area and have planned special events for the months of June, July & August. We will meet weekly from 10-12:30pm starting in May weather permitting. Bring snacks or lunch if you wish. If you are new, please let one of us know that you are coming so we can look out for you! Below are the dates & park information.

A Russell Tilt Park in Oak Ridges: splash park & covered area with picnic tables
B Town Park in Aurora: nicely shaded, splash park with picnic tables
C Chapman Park in Aurora: sand park only
D Ada Johnson Park in Aurora: splash park & covered area with picnic tables
E Rogers Park in Newmarket: free wading pool behind Canadian Martyrs Catholic School
F Harvest Hills Park in Newmarket: splash park, covered area with picnic tables
SPECIAL EVENTS
G A Teddy Bear Picnic!
Grab your teddy bear & picnic basket because “today is the day the teddy bears have their picnic!”
Location: Heritage Centre in the Amos Wright Park, 19 Church St North in Richmond Hill.
Cost: $5 for preschoolers 3yrs+. Tickets are available at the door.
Details: Children will be entertained with songs, crafts and games. Treats will also be served. You can find parking on Church St or at the Elgin Borrow Arena Complex
H Let’s Go to the ZOO!
Location: Greater Toronto Zoo
Cost: Check out www.torontozoo.com for admission fees & directions.
Details: We will meet inside the gate at 10am. Please RSVP for this event. For those of you who may wish to stay longer, there is also a free splash park area.
I Let’s Head to the Beach!
Location: Centennial Beach in Barrie.
Cost: Parking is free.
Details: Meet at the playground next to the parking lot.
