At ASCEND, we work hard to blend faith, friendships, and fun together into one incredible night. We desire for students to Love in Community (Belong), Grow in Faith (Experience), and Serve in Mission (Go). We believe that all of these are best accomplished through small groups, which is why we connect you with your small group the moment you arrive to youth!
What to expect:
Our doors open at 7:00pm to give students a time to hang out and connect, catch up on the week and get to know each other better. Our structured time together begins at 7:30pm with icebreaker games and activities. This is followed by a time of worship and prayer, which lead into the lesson. The lesson is usually a blend of video in-person teaching, Bible study, and group discussion. After the lesson we move into our gender-appropriate small groups, which give us time to dive deeper together and pray for each other. Our program portion of the evening ends at 9:30pm, but students are free to hang out doors close!
Within the first five minutes:
- As soon are you arrive you will be welcomed by a team of fellow youth and leaders.
- One of our volunteer leader will ask you to fill out a registration form, to let us know a bit about who you are and to sign you in for the night.
- You will be connected with a trusted volunteer or friend who will be a part of your small group
- Go and enjoy fun games and activities and get ready for a night of meaningful community, and intentional Biblical teaching
