Men will receive dental repair, a lot of work needs to be done on his teeth. The total cost is $245 US. Summit gave some $ towards his dental work and a pastor’s son in the USA promised to give $150 to Men! PTL!
Men and Hong went to WEC School and Lotus School to ask if they will accept Hoa and Binh this coming school year, but they were denied with the reasons: “they left it too long and are too old to go back to these schools.” Hong will try another school next week.
PRAY: that Hoa and Binh will be accepted into a school, they are eager to go to school and mom has agreed for them to go!
Praise the Lord, the school (Ministry Centre) has a new roof! Bill gave approval and the work was done quickly. There is also a layer of material that will absorb the heat and the rain will no longer pour in from the side of the building!
PTL a Cell (Small) Group was started at Thi and Pha’s grandmother’s coffee shop. (They are renting the coffee shop for one hour and providing coffee) There are about 15 people. In the next two weeks another Cell Group will start at Lam’s house.
PRAY: pray for the moving of the Holy Spirit in the hearts and minds of those attending the cell groups. Pray for Nguyen and Hong as they teach the Bible – pray for boldness. Pray strong friendships will be built.
Tham and Mot’s mother had a miscarriage few days ago. We visited her and helped her: $25 plus 10 kg of rice, 3 condense milk, and medicine of iron and vitamine C to boost her blood and energy. Every year she almost has one baby, her family is big. Tham is the only one working in the family right now, because her father is still sick and her older brother had an accident a week ago.
PRAY: pray for Tham as she has to carry this burden of providing for her family. Pray God’s favour on her that she will receive an abundance of recycle and that her families needs would be met!
There has been lots of rain and with the rain lots of mosquitoes bites!
PRAY: God’s protection over Hong, Nguyen & Timothy that they won’t get malaria!
Now for some amazing news:
Nhat passed the test to go to FBI school! PTL! Bao will be accepted with a condition that he has to attend a tutoring class for math for two months from August 15 to October 15 at FBI school. The cost for 2 months will be $63 US. After that he will do the math test again, if he passes, he will go straight to grade 6. His Khmer and English marks are high.
PRAY: Bao will comprehend Math and will be disciplined and motivated to learn! Pray he will pass this test so he can go to FBI.
Hong talked to Quyen’s parents regarding her wish to go to the FBI school. Both parents are happy for that and she had the test. We are waiting for her result.
PRAY: Quyen passed the test and will be accepted at FBI!
Nhi (new girl from lake): Her family wants her to come back to the lake, they miss her and need her to help with the selling of the fish.
PRAY: that she can stay in Siem Reap and continue working with Nguyen & Hong. (Hong has increased her work, Nhi is working 4 days). If she can stay pray that she can find another place to live. She is currently living with her aunt, the aunt is very mean!
KIM:
Kim will speak in Edmonton with adults on Fri night, Aug 5th and with youth on Sun morning, Aug 7th in Calgary with adults on Sun morning, Aug 14th.
PRAY: for Kim as she will be speaking on the above dates! Pray she will enjoy her time with her Brother and his family! It is wonderful that she can have quality time with her family!
