Friday August 5th some of the  children were given the opportunity to go to Angkor Wat, they enjoyed being tourists in their Town! They all look so good in their ‘new to them’ clothes!  Hong and Nguyen brought boxes of clothing for the children!

Saturday August 6 the Tran’s and five of the children went to serve at the lake.  They took 80 gift bags and boxes of noodles to give the Vietnamese children at the school.  It is important for our children to serve others and give back!  “BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING!”  Hong taught a Bible lesson to the school children.  The Tran’s plan to visit the Floating School once a month. PTL they made a wonderful connection with the woman who drove their boat. The woman driver was very helpful and gave them her contact info so they can continue using her service.  Also the children said the boat was the fasts boat they had ever been on!

Tuesday August 9 (afternoon) Diem and Hoang will write the entrance test for FBI  Hoang will write a test for grade 4 going to grade 5 and Diem for grade 3 going to grade 4.) Please pray for them, that the Holy Spirit fill them with wisdom, knowledge and peace!

Hong has visited several Government and International schools to enroll some of our students.  The schools are not accepting the children because they don’t have birth certificates.  The schools are making it mandatory for a child to have a BC.
Hoa and Binh, this week will write the entrance test for FBI for grade 1 and 2!  (The reason Hong is letting them write the test is because no other school will accept them)
Mot and Tuan didn’t pass their grade this year and will have to repeat!  They attend the government school!

WEC School is struggling financially and is not accepting any new students.  This is so sad, we might want to consider helping out WEC financially because they have helped several of our children.  This school is a Christian run school and is in the same neighbourhood as our children.
I asked Kim what there monthly expenses were but she wasn’t sure, she will try and contact the principal (who is home this year in Brazil).
Apparently many schools, Government and International, require a child to have a BC to attend.  Please pray for the rights of the Vietnamese to be accepted as a  Cambodian citizen and be given the opportunity to be educated!

Viet has gone to Vietnam with his uncle, he has been there for a month!  Please pray for his protection and that he would return!

I have not heard if Nhi has gone back to the lake, I do know that living with her Aunt is not easy and her Aunt often tells her that she hates her.  Please pray that she would stay in Siem Reap and that she would have the opportunity to stay somewhere else. Or that her Aunt would attend a cell group and receive Jesus as her Lord and Saviour!
