Do I need to register for the Sunday service?
To align ourselves with current Covid protocols, we have set up a registration process for Sunday Morning Services. Registration is available online, either through Summit’s website (www.summitcommunity.ca/events) or our eblast. Registration will open on the Wednesday before our Sunday service. If we reach capacity, you can request to be placed on a wait-list: info@summitcommunity.ca. If your plans change for that Sunday, please cancel your registration as soon as possible to free up spots for others. If you are not currently signed up to receive regular e-blasts from Summit Community Church, please go to our homepage at www.summitcommunity.ca and look for JOIN OUR EBLAST. If you have difficulty with a Sunday registration, please email info@summitcommunity.ca
What can I expect when I arrive?
We ask that you plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the Sunday service starts so we can be sure to get you checked in for contact tracing purposes and to reduce any congestion in the check in area. Our WELCOME team will greet you at the entrance and will do a quick check-in. From there you can proceed to either drop your kids in our Summit Kids space(s) or enter the service.
Once you are by the service doors an usher will direct you to your seat. To allow for maximum occupancy and proper distancing you will be directed to seating based on the number in your household – so you may not get to sit in your favourite section. Registration has been capped to ensure safe distancing.
What about masks?
During our gatherings masks are required at all times indoors. Since masks are required, please do not bring food or beverages into the services. Some exceptions will apply such as worship leading and/or speaking in our service. Any unmasked individual will maintain minimum 2 metres physical distance from others &/or position themselves behind barriers.
What about Summit Kids?
Summit Kids classes are running! Please ensure your children are registered prior to Sunday & checked in at WELCOME. Our registration is capped to ensure safe distancing.
What time is the service?
Our services are from 4:15-5:15pm. We understand you haven’t seen one another for a long time, but we would encourage you to chat with one another outside, not inside our buildings.
Is there still going to be an online service?
Yes, if you are not yet comfortable with gathering in-person, we understand and that’s okay. We will continue our online services just as we have been doing throughout the pandemic – and we look forward to seeing you again when you are comfortable gathering with us in-person.
