I’m happy to tell you we have had rain almost everyday.  It so wonderful because the rain cools everything down!  Thank you for your prayers!
We’ve survived our first week without Kim here!  So far so good, just the usual fighting and arguing amongst the children to deal with.
The children have had three days off of school this week, so we have had larger class sizes for Vietnamese class. I made peanut butter Rice Krispie squares, this was a big hit!  We are trying to use up the marshmallows the team brought in April because they are already going bad.

On Sunday I taught the children on the Ten Bridesmaids/virgins, I had each of the five teams design toilet paper dresses for two of their teammates.  Needless to say it ended in a mass craziness and toilet paper everywhere!  Nothing’s straight forward with these children.  As you can see in the end result we had some beautiful “Bridesmaids!”
This story has such a wonderful message about being ready for the return of Jesus!  Can’t wait for Him to return.

I have taken some groups to Hoc Sup, always a fun time for the children, a big treat!

We will start a bible study tomorrow (Saturday) at 10:00 am with the mom’s and grandmothers in Nhung’s area.  Looking forward to connecting with them!

The other day I was walking to the market and I found where Keiu’s family moved.  They invited me in and served me an energy drink with ice I shouldn’t have.  I quickly prayed and asked God to protect my stomach, because it was so important for me to drink what was so kindly offered to me.  As I sat amongst this family I was so frustrated that I could not fully talk to them, there was so much I wanted to ask them!  I also prayed the Lord give me the gift of speaking Vietnamese! Nope!        Btw God protected my stomach!

We have been cleaning and organizing Kim’s house inside and out, when we have a spare moment!

I love working with Hoan and Nhi, Vietnamese translators, they are both such godly women and they serve the Lord so humbly!  We’ve enjoyed many long talks about life and God’s word!

This morning Nhi shared in our devotional time with the girls,we are training in Housekeeping, from Haggai 1:7-14 The prophet Haggai gives a message to the remanent of Israelites, who had come out of captivity, to rebuild the temple.  God told them to stop focusing on themselves (they had gotten caught up in the routine of life and lost their focus on God) and build the temple where He will dwell.  Because of their fear of God they obeyed Him.   He promised them that He would be with them.  God also “stirred up the spirit within  3 men and the remanent.  The result was that they built the temple and obeyed God with enthusiasm.
My prayer is that God would stir up within the Vietnamese children’s spirit a burden and desire to build and be the Vietnamese church in Cambodia where God would dwell and many would be saved.  May they obey God and serve Him with enthusiasm!

One last thing, whenever we ask the children to come at a certain time, they will come a least a half hour or an hour ahead of time.  I love that they’re eager, but it is a challenge keeping them busy for an extra hour!

Blessings, Leah
