The time goes fast, we have been here in Siem Reap more than two months. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you helping us to settle here, especially Bill approved a few big projects including the new school roof, fixing the courtyard, a new washing machine, etc.
Here are some activities that we have been doing and carrying after Kim left here to go back to Canada for her home assignment.
– we have six Vietnamese classes in different levels from kindergarten to grade 3. The average of Children coming are between 43-45 everyday from Tuesday to Saturday.
– there are two Khmer classes for grade 1-2 and grade 6-7 in two mornings and two afternoons in a week.
– 1 class of math tutoring in grade 6 and 7.
– 2 classes of English for beginners and higher level.
– Playing Keyboard class for 3 students helping to play for Sunday service.
For the Church service on Sundays, we have children attending between 55-60, sometimes 67 children.
– Different levels studying Bible on Saturdays including one youth group of 15-16.
– we also have one cell group of Bible study for adults every Wednesdays, and expanding two more new groups taking turn every two weeks.
– we have committed to go to the Psaleu church every month with children who could understand Khmer to intergrate them into Khmer church and its community.
– we already have five students attending FBI school and the next school year, five more passed the entry test to attend this school too. So total we have 10 students attending this school from grade 4-7.
– For the lake children, we have committed to visit them including teaching Bible stories, songs every month, and two groups of children take turns to come with us to the lake.
– we will have a meeting with the new director of the WEC school (the Christian school) to discuss about sending five students to go there. Last few months, they stopped accepting new students because of financial problems.
– Besides of these amazing things, we have been visiting needed families to help them with basic foods such as rice and noodles and using this opportunity to share the Gospel too.

Next few months’ goals:
– Sending more children to WEC the Christian school.
– Building more close relationship with the two new adult groups to share the Gospel.
– Training the youth group to get involved more in leadership and teaching Vietnamese for the children who could not attend the school because of working to help their families in need and to share the Gospel also.
– preparing the pre-Christmas service in November and the main service in December 25th both in land and on the lake.

Thank you for all your support including The Summit Church, the Brampton, Toronto, London Vietnamese Alliance churches in Canada, the New York and Worcester Vietnamese Alliance churches in the USA and all individuals from different Vietnamese churches to help sending us to come here, one of the most needed places to bring the glory of God and share His love with people living here. We are blesses to be blessing to other people in need.
